Existing IT room conversion for high-density, liquid-cooled AI environment to support NVIDIA DGX™ GB300
The Naval Postgraduate School, the United States Navy’s graduate university and research institution, is accelerating artificial intelligence education, research, and capability delivery, and expanding the Department of the Navy’s and Joint Force’s ability to apply AI to real operational challenges. The expansion enables NPS to serve faculty, students, researchers, and mission partners addressing complex challenges through advanced computing and artificial intelligence.
Working closely with NVIDIA and a broad ecosystem of partners, Vertiv provided system-integrated power and cooling infrastructure, engineering expertise, and the deployment support required to enable the high-density liquid-cooled installation.
The project:
- Establishes an advanced, locally operated AI environment for education, research, digital engineering, modeling and simulation
- Demonstrates how an existing facility can be transformed to support the electrical, thermal, and operational requirements of next-generation accelerated computing
