Vertiv™ Live Sydney and Melbourne 2026

AI insights, great conversations and a bit of fun

Vertiv Live returned to Melbourne and Sydney, bringing our channel partners together for an afternoon of insights, networking and some well-deserved fun.

This year, we looked at AI inference at the edge and how AI workloads are increasingly moving beyond large data centres and into customer and enterprise environments. We discussed what this means for infrastructure and the opportunities this creates for our channel partners

What does AI at the edge mean for partners? As AI moves into more distributed environments, customers will need to consider the power, cooling, racks, monitoring and management required to support these workloads.

For our channel partners, this creates opportunities to help customers assess their existing infrastructure, identify gaps and plan for the next generation of AI workloads.

But the afternoons were not all about presentations. In Melbourne, we enjoyed beer tasting at CBCo Brewing and a whisky tasting and distillery visit at STARWARD. In Sydney, partners headed to Swing City for some golf practice after the presentation.

It was a great mix of learning, conversation, and getting to know each other outside the usual work environment.

A big thank you to all our channel partners who joined us and helped make these afternoons so much fun and meaningful. We really enjoyed the conversations, the laughs and the opportunity to spend time together.

Meet Vertiv™’s Davinder Goraya

Building strong partnerships through technical expertise

With a passion for critical infrastructure and partner enablement, Davinder shares his career journey, the value of strong channel relationships, and the opportunities emerging across the AI and data centre landscape.

1. You've been in the industry for many years. How did you get started, and what led you to join Vertiv™?

   I spent many years working in the air conditioning industry, where I developed a strong foundation in mechanical and electrical systems. Along the way, I became a certified PMP, which sharpened my project management skills. I'd always been drawn to the data centre space, so I completed a Data Centre Certified Associate course to deepen my knowledge. When the opportunity at Vertiv came along, it was the perfect fit, combining my technical background with my passion for the critical infrastructure that powers today's digital world.

2. Can you tell us a little about your role at Vertiv™ and what your day-to-day responsibilities involve?

   My day-to-day revolves around maintaining professional working relationships with key contractors, consultants, and channel partners. I work closely with them to ensure they have the support, resources, and product knowledge they need to deliver the best outcomes for their customers.

3. You've worked closely with channel partners throughout your career. What do you enjoy most about those relationships?

   Conducting regular technical training sessions with our partners. Seeing them grow their capabilities and improve their service levels is incredibly rewarding. It's a collaborative effort, and those sessions often spark great conversations about how we can do things better together.

4. What does a successful partnership look like to you, and what opportunities do you see for partners in today's market?

   A successful partnership comes down to timely resolution of ongoing issues and challenges, combined with a persistent and proactive approach from both sides. When partners know they can rely on us to follow through, trust builds naturally. In today's market, with the rapid growth of data centres and AI/HPC, there are tremendous opportunities for partners who invest in their technical expertise and stay close to evolving customer needs.

5. Outside of work, how do you switch off and spend your free time?

   I like spending time in nature; camping is a big one for me. There's nothing like getting outdoors to reset and recharge. I'm also passionate about photography and improving my skills around photoshop, which pairs perfectly with being out in beautiful landscapes. It helps me slow down and appreciate the world beyond the screen.
