Regional colocation provider achieves energy savings with Vertiv cooling retrofit services

BACKGROUND
The customer launched a large-scale cooling retrofit to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability. Aimed at addressing high power consumption and maintenance costs from ageing CRAC units, the project modernised 114 units across multiple data halls. By upgrading to advanced EC fans and intelligent Liebert® iCOM™ controllers, the initiative reduced energy use, improved system reliability, and aligned with the company’s long-term environmental and operational excellence goals.
RESULTS
- Significant energy savings through the implementation of EC fans and teamwork mode control.
- Extended the lifespan of CRAC units by an additional 7 years.
