Vertiv™ Power Insight is a complimentary, web browser-based remote management platform for UPS and rPDU data center infrastructure. It is designed for users with distributed IT systems who need a centralized way to monitor and manage their IT power infrastructure. The software provides a single management console for up to 100 devices, delivering real-time alarm notifications, automated server shutdown protection, and dashboard views of key metrics such as connected load, battery charge, and runtime on battery. Vertiv™ Power Insight is simple to install, supports broad Vertiv Liebert® UPS compatibility, and integrates seamlessly with VMware vCenter for single-pane-of-glass monitoring and control of host and virtual machines.

Specifications
Vertiv™ Power Insight can be installed on a 64-bit machine with minimum system requirements of 8 GB memory, 4-core CPU, and 256 GB available on the hard drive for historical data storage. The recommended configuration is 8 GB memory, 8-core CPU, and 2 TB storage. The recommended browser for both desktop and mobile devices is Google Chrome™ 55 or later. Other desktop browsers supported include Microsoft® Edge 38 or higher and Firefox® 51 or later. Supported operating systems include Microsoft® Windows® 10 and 11 64-bit; Microsoft® Windows Server® 2016, 2019, and 2022 64-bit; Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® 7.1 (with GUI), 7.9 (requires networking). Default ports that need to be open for communication are TCP: 8443, 27017, and 5701; UDP: 161 and 162. The Automation Agent (used for server shutdown) supports Microsoft® Windows® 7, 8.1, and 10; Microsoft® Windows Server® 2008 R2, 2012 R2, and 2016; Microsoft® Hyper-V Server® 2012 R2 and 2016; Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® 6.7, 6.9, and 7.1 to 7.4. VMware ESXi 5.5, 6.0, and 6.5 (64-bit) does not require the Automation Agent for virtual machine shutdown.
