Benefits
Avoid cords becoming dislodged or equipment being plugged in causing unplanned downtime.
Plug shields restrict access by blocking outlets to ensure additional equipment cannot be connected to a fully loaded rack PDU.
Plug shields must be removed with a special removal tool providing confidence the covers will not get inadvertently removed.
Plug shields state “Authorized Removal Only” to discourage usage of any unused outlets and help prevent circuit overloads.
