Specifiche
The Universal Xplorer Cell Temperature Monitor uses individual temperature sensors that continuously monitor cell temperatures. User defined thresholds can be established for high/low temperatures and thermal runaway parameters such as temperature deviations for cell to cell or cell to ambient for analysis.
The UXCT has a maximum of 240 cell temperature measurements and 4 ambient temperature measurements (standalone configurations only)

Domande più frequenti
- D
- How are alarms and information from the UXCT module presented?
- R
- The UXCT module connects to a system that monitors the relays or to a BMS via Modbus.
- D
- How many strings can be monitored with each UXCT module?
- R
- Each Integrated UXCT Module can monitor one battery string. The UXCT is powered from and communicates with the Alber main module. Standalone UXCT modules can monitor multiple battery strings, up to 240 cells per UXCT module.
- D
- What is the International Fire Code (IFC) 608.3?
- R
- IFC 608.3 is a regulation requiring VRLA battery systems be provided with a device or method to detect, control and preclude a thermal runaway event.
- D
- What is thermal runaway?
- R
- Thermal runaway occurs when the temperature of a cell increases in an uncontrolled manner. Essentially, the internal heat generated during charging exceeds the rate at which the heat can be dissipated through the battery case into the environment. Thermal runaway is more common in VRLA batteries.
