Avocent HMX1070 / HMIQSHDI Software Downloads

Before upgrading, please read the release notes and technical documentation. The upgrade steps must be followed exactly as written. Failure to follow the steps could result in non-functioning units.

Effective February 28, 2017, Vertiv will end distribution of the listed Avocent HMX and AMX High Performance KVM. After February 28, 2017 the listed SKUs will be at End-of-Sale (EOS) and they will no longer be available for purchase from Vertiv.

HMX Manager

Only hardware version 5 and newer Avocent HMX Manager Models are compatible with the firmware upgrade to version 6.0.0.74 or above. If you have both a 4.x.x.x HMX Manager (MPN: 520-729-xxx) and a 5.x.x.x HMX Manager (MPN: 520-882-xxx), please contact Avocent Technical Support to get firmware that allows the Managers to work together in a Hub and Spoke configuration.

HMX Transmitter and Receiver

Once HMX transmitter or HMX receiver is upgraded to a .30 version of firmware (either 4.30.0.18 or 6.30.x.x), you cannot downgrade that unit to a “non .30” release. For example, once upgraded to 4.30.0.18 a customer cannot downgrade to 4.0.0.18 or 4.10.0.18.

Software downloads are .ZIP files which must be extracted before use.
