Vertiv experts to present on results of OCP liquid cooling projects and exhibit conceptual new rack, power and cooling technologies on the event floor

Columbus, Ohio [November 09, 2021] – Vertiv (NYSE: VRT), a global provider of critical digital infrastructure and continuity solutions, announced it will be presenting on projects and unveiling new solutions that are the result of its collaboration and Platinum partnership with the Open Compute Project (OCP), during the 2021 OCP Global Summit in San Jose, California, November 9-10, 2021.

The OCP collaborative solutions, featured in booth B12, include Vertiv’s concept of the new Open Rack V3 with new subsystems: DC busbars, a 48-volt DC rack power shelf with dual universal AC/DC input connectors, and liquid cooling manifolds compatible with row-based or in-rack cooling distribution units. The Open Rack V3 is a fully integrated solution that offers significant upgrades from its previous version, including increased power density and liquid-to-liquid heat exchange for direct-to-chip cooling.

The Vertiv booth will also feature a Vertiv VR rack with Vertiv NetSure DC power equipment, a Vertiv Geist rack PDU based on OCP concept, a Vertiv Liebert® GXT5 uninterruptible power supply (UPS), and the new VertivAvocent® ADX Ecosystem IT management platform with embedded Avocent® Core Insight which is built on common architecture and Open platform technology.

“Vertiv values our relationship with the Open Compute Project and the innovative projects that allow us to work closely with customers and other industry leaders – a process that fast-tracks practical and innovative technologies that solve challenges data centers face today,” said Stephen Liang, Chief Technology Officer at Vertiv. “With the sustainability and economic implications surrounding rising rack densities, data centers can benefit from the latest best practices and product offerings that address these concerns and improve data center operations.”

In addition to the new product concepts, Vertiv will lead or participate in presentations about liquid cooling and sustainability on November 10 during the Summit, including: Risk and Reward: How to Mitigate Liquid Cooling Concerns in Advanced Data Centers; Liquid Cooling Integration and Logistics; Spotlight: Data Center Sustainability; Panel: Data Center Liquid Distribution Guidance & Reference Designs; and Panel: OCP ACF – Guidelines for Connection Liquid Cooled ITE.

The Open Compute Project (OCP) hosts its annual Summit to bring together thousands of key decision makers, executives, engineers, developers and suppliers. OCP’s collaboration model is being applied beyond the data center, helping to advance the telecom industry & EDGE infrastructure. The theme of this year’s Summit is “Open Possibilities.” For more information about Vertiv’s partnership with OCP, visit Vertiv.com.
