Frieda He

Chief Procurement Officer

Frieda He was named Vertiv’s Chief Procurement Officer effective May 5, 2026, with global responsibility for leading the company’s procurement organization across direct and indirect materials, supplier quality, cost management, and supply chain resilience in support of Vertiv’s worldwide growth and operations. She brings extensive global procurement and supply chain leadership experience across scale, complex, multinational manufacturing environments.

Prior to joining Vertiv, Frieda served as Chief Procurement Officer at Polestar from December 2023 to March 2026, where she was a member of the Group Management Team. In this role, she led the global procurement organization, spanning direct and indirect materials, supplier quality, cost engineering, and real estate. From September 2025 to March 2026, her responsibilities expanded to include oversight of global R&D industrial programs as the company advanced strategic and organizational transformation initiatives.

Prior to joining Polestar, Frieda spent more than 13 years at Volvo Cars, where she held progressively senior leadership roles in global procurement. Most recently, she served as Vice President, Head of Global Propulsion & Sustainability Procurement from May 2020 to November 2023, with responsibility for worldwide sourcing of propulsion systems, supplier quality, and supply chain resilience, sustainability and compliance. Her career with Volvo also includes senior procurement leadership roles supporting global programs and regional operations in both Europe and Asia.

Frieda holds dual bachelor’s degrees from Northeast Normal University and an Executive MBA from the University of Oxford.
