Seoul, South Korea (August 28, 2025) – Vertiv (NYSE: VRT), a global provider of critical digital infrastructure and continuity solutions, today announced the appointment of Ted Lee as country head and sales director (전무) for Korea. Lee assumes leadership at a time when Korea’s digital infrastructure is rapidly evolving to meet the demands of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), high-performance computing (HPC), and edge applications.
Recent market research projects Korea’s ICT market to grow at a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.18% to reach a value of $92.62 billion by 2028. This growth is fueled by increasing cloud adoption, AI workloads, and national digital transformation initiatives. Enterprises and cloud service providers are scaling rapidly, creating urgent demand for resilient and energy-efficient infrastructure.
“Korea is at the forefront of digital innovation, and Vertiv is committed to supporting our customers with the right infrastructure to power the AI era and beyond,” said Lee. “It’s an honor to take on this leadership role, and I’m excited to work closely with our partners and clients to build intelligent, scalable, and environmentally responsible data center solutions.”
Lee brings nearly 30 years of experience in the data center and critical digital infrastructure space. Prior to joining Vertiv, he held various sales leadership roles at Eon Co. and previously spent over a decade at Emerson Network Power. In his current role, he will lead the company’s go-to-market strategy in Korea, overseeing sales performance, expanding market presence, and deepening partnerships with customers, consultants, contractors, and channel partners.
Lee’s appointment comes as Vertiv is underscoring its leadership in the evolving infrastructure landscape. In his role, Lee will focus on creating programs and expanding existing initiatives, such as the highly successful Vertiv Masterclass event held in early July, to foster professional networking and learning. The event drew more than 160 participants, including engineers, architects, customers, and channel partners, all focused on tackling the challenges posed by AI and next-generation workloads. These types of programs will continue to serve as a platform for connecting local industry experts and advancing thought leadership in the field.
Lee holds a Bachelor’s degree from Cheongju University with a major in Industrial Engineering.
