Hands-on courses in dedicated data center and theoretical classes taught by Vertiv professionals now include immersion in thermal cooling technologies for the HPC model
Sao Paulo, Brazil [November xx, 2025] – Vertiv (NYSE: VRT), a global leader in critical digital infrastructure, today announced the expansion of Vertiv Academy Latin America and the implementation of the region's first AI liquid cooling thermal management solutions in its Barueri training center for data center professionals. The addition enables regional Vertiv Academy students to have hands-on experience with liquid cooling technologies for artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) applications, with the ability to apply this knowledge to customer deployments.
Vertiv Academy is working to enhance its technological infrastructure to support the growing demands of the sector, aiming to increase its operational capacity by integrating advanced power and thermal management solutions. Among the new additions are the Vertiv™ CoolChip CDU 1350 and Vertiv™ CoolChip CDU 70 coolant distribution units, designed to support high-density data applications. The academy has also added new classrooms, 20 large-scale Vertiv solution simulators, and an expanded teaching team with two permanent instructors and 25 specialized part-time trainers. In addition to the standard course offering, customized training is available to meet the specific needs of Vertiv’s customers and business partners in the region.
Since its inauguration last year, Vertiv Academy in Barueri has delivered over 8000 hours of training to more than 200 professionals, including customers and partners. One of the highlights of this period was the training offered by Vertiv to SENAI (National Service for Industrial Learning) students. In the first half of 2025, 66 students from SENAI's secondary vocational courses had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the complex and advanced world of data centers.
According to Francisco Sales, Vertiv Latam services director, the growth of Brazil's digital economy depends on continuous investments in training and qualifying professionals for the data center sector. "The technological revolution, powered by AI and HPC, is creating unprecedented opportunities for professional growth and innovation. At Vertiv Academy, we embrace this transformation by continuously updating our facilities, technologies and curriculum, enabling professionals across Brazil and Latin America to have access to world-class training that drives our region's leadership in the digital and AI economy."
The pioneering nature of the Vertiv Academy is proven by the installation of thermal management equipment for liquid cooling in this environment. "This is the first time in Latin America that such advanced solutions are operating in the region – the fact that they are serving to train Brazilian professionals in critical infrastructure for AI applications confirms Vertiv's commitment to Brazil's growth," notes Leonardo Barroso, senior regional manager for technical support, new product development and training at Vertiv LATAM.
Vertiv Academy has successfully trained 60 professionals using its comprehensive Liquid Cooling curriculum, delivering over 1000 hours of instruction through its state-of-the-art training facilities.
