DCD Connect São Paulo 2025 is in its 4th edition and will gather more than 2000 executives from the country's data center supply and design chain.
The event will feature various panels and presentations addressing diverse topics with experts from Brazil and throughout Latin America, including the panel "Unlocking and implementing advanced AI & ML solutions in next-generation data centers in Brazil and Latin America." Alex Sasaki, Vertiv LATAM vice-president, Lucélia Cardona, Equinix LATAM deployment manager, Marcelo Pivovar, Oracle CTO, and Luis Quiles Ardila, NTT Data head of Artificial Intelligence, will discuss the best strategies to address current and future challenges of the High Performance Computing (HPC) era brought by the rapid expansion of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) applications in data centers. This panel is scheduled for 6:30 PM on November 4.

Sasaki shared that data centers are transforming and expanding to process AI data. The thermal densities of chips, servers, and racks continue to increase, reaching 100 kW per rack and higher. "With the advancement of AI, data center managers face the challenge of extracting maximum value from their current facilities while designing new sites for the HPC era. During the November 4 panel, we will discuss the best practices adopted by data centers in this critical journey for the expansion of AI, including examples in our region. During a Lunch Briefing on November 5, at 1:30 PM, Robson Pacheco, Vertiv LATAM strategic accounts director, will present "Fit Out - Methods to boost data center efficiency, scalability, and sustainability." In this meeting, Pacheco will address key strategies including Vertiv's cooling technologies and power management systems, focusing on industry-proven methods to optimize data center operations. "The scalability of data centers in our region depends on achieving higher energy efficiency standards," Pacheco noted. The presentation will explore Vertiv's comprehensive approach that combines cooling solutions, power management systems, and environmental monitoring capabilities, aligned with current industry standards for PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) optimization. This integrated vision brings together Vertiv's infrastructure solutions and services designed to support the advancement of sustainable data center operations in the region."
Vertiv will also offer the "Ice-Breaker Cocktail" at 7:30 PM on November 4, with opening remarks by Gustavo Pérez, Vertiv LATAM market development director. Finally, the "Closing Cocktail Party" will be opened by Sasaki at 6:00 PM on November 5.
