Vertiv™ LIFE™ Services monitors Vertiv™ uninterruptible power systems to minimize system outages and reduce customer intervention
Bogotá, Colombia [February 24, 2022] – Vertiv (NYSE: VRT), a global provider of critical digital infrastructure and continuity solutions, today announced Vertiv™ LIFE™ Services, its new real-time monitoring and reporting service for Vertiv™ uninterruptible power supply systems (UPS). This advanced monitoring system provides customers with visibility and control over their critical UPS systems 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Vertiv LIFE Services is now available to Vertiv customers in Latin America with Basic, Essential, Preferred or Premium maintenance contracts.
Rather than rely on an on-site technician to report any alerts or irregularities in the UPS, Vertiv LIFE Services delivers automated alerts to Vertiv technical support professionals, minimizing response time and helping to increase the reliability of customer facilities. Upon receiving the alert, support professionals interpret the data, diagnose the problem and if necessary, dispatch local service and parts to repair the UPS and restore operation.
The UPS systems use internet protocol (IP) and HTTP to safely and efficiently transfer data to the Vertiv™ Global Support Network, without changes to existing IT infrastructure or manual intervention.
The Vertiv LIFE Services solution also offers customers the Vertiv™ Advisor mobile app, a cloud-based service that allows users to monitor the connection status of the UPS equipment in real-time, with indication that Vertiv Services is working on their behalf.
