Vertiv and Febicom join forces to offer a complete data center solution for the wholesaler Nini in Buenos Aires.
Buenos Aires, [December 3, 2020] Vertiv (NYSE: VRT), a global provider of critical digital infrastructure and continuity solutions, is working alongside Febicom, an integrator specializing in information technology and infrastructure projects, to provide an integrated solution for the complete assembly of a data center for Nini, a wholesale shopping center. The solution includes a modular uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system and precision cooling to safeguard operational continuity.
The project consisted of the integrated construction of a data center from the ground up, including the electrical installation, as well as the incorporation of a computing, printing, and storage system. The infrastructure also had to have redundancy in the electrical system built in, so that the solutions could remain in operation until the generator was turned on, ensuring business continuity in the event of failures in the electricity supply.

Three Liebert® CRV 035 35kW precision row-based direct expansion air conditioning systems were installed, along with a 150 kW Liebert® APM transformer-free UPS system with battery backup and redundant power modules in an N+1 configuration, along with a monitoring system based on SNMP protocols for cooling equipment as well as for modular UPS.
“Since this was a large depot, power continuity was one of our priorities,” says Daniel Felicitato, General Manager of Febicom. “Constant contact with Vertiv’s engineers, who advised and worked alongside us throughout the process from end to end, was vital to achieving a successful implementation that guaranteed the client’s objectives.”
As a result of this implementation, Nini’s data center employs hot and cold aisle containment to optimize efficiency. All industry best practices have been applied in its construction and design in order to support a major logistics operation with 1,100 pallets coming in on a normal day, with 127,000 boxes and 194,000 individual items selected.
