Liebert DSE 400kW wins CSE Magazine Product of Year Silver Award
Vertiv Packaged Freecooling System Earns Silver Award in Consulting-Specifying Engineer 2018 Product of the Year Competition
Rapidly deployable, high-capacity Liebert DSE 400kW system frees up data center IT power capacity while reducing operating costs and risks.
Products introduced in the 2017 calendar year were eligible for entry. Voting began in April and was open only to qualified subscribers of Consulting-Specifying Engineer, with a limit of one vote per subscriber. The winning products were selected from a large field of entries based on their design’s ability to improve quality, lengthen lifecycles and increase efficiencies.
The Liebert DSE Packaged Freecooling System in 400kW capacity is designed to deliver high efficiency and design flexibility while minimizing the total cost of ownership. Rapidly deployable and scalable, it incorporates a pumped refrigerant economization technology that maximizes operational efficiency, engaging low-power refrigerant pumps during cooler periods instead of high-energy compressors. Compressors are used only during the hottest periods. It delivers a highly efficient operational PUE under 1.2, lowering operating costs while delivering high reliability. The product is available in rooftop and perimeter models.
Because the system uses no water, it can provide a cost advantage over indirect evaporative and chilled water systems. The Liebert DSE 400kW uses integrated Liebert ICOM™ controls that feature advanced algorithms and automated routines for protection and efficiency, and make these systems easier to operate.
